Who are we?
The campaign's team
Sailing, travel, film and history enthusiast. Director of “One Moment”, “Following Wagner” and “Treasure of Domeyko”. Sea yacht pilot. He loves Latin American culture and that’s why he studies the Culture of Latin America and the Caribbean. In his not much free time, Marcin potters or renovates various stuff.
In 2012 Marcin established IgnaśTV. Since then, he’s been constantly managing its work, even as a graduate. He acts as the chief editor and since 2017 also as an instructor. Moreover, he was a leader of the youth jury at the Upto21 International Film Festival in years 2013 – 2015.
Awarded with a Medal of Ignacy Domeyko of the CXXII High School in 2017. Winner of the Warsaw Culture Education Award 2016.
Julia got involved in Ignaś during a renovation in 2016. On that occasion, she revealed her manual skills gained while working with models, which she’s been doing for 7 years. However, even before the end of the makeover, she discovered her true vocation for coordination of the television. She quickly became a member of the board at IgnaśMEDIA, acting as a vice chief editor.
As Julia fluently speaks English and Spanish, she translates many official documents and film scripts. She’s also one of the best photojournalists – she takes photos and edits them incredibly skillfully. She also often works with a microphone in her hand as a reporter and recently she’s been interested in editing. However, it’s not everything yet!
Julia compromises her voluntary work at the campaign with horse riding, which she’s been training for 5 years. She’s a student of math-geographical grade 2 at the CXXII High School of Ignacy Domeyko – her travels with IgnaśTV had a big impact on this choice.
Gabrysia started her adventure in IgnaśTV in September 2015. She was getting involved in the “Treasure of Domeyko” project gradually, staying as a backup in the office in Warsaw when the crew was away. At the same time, she dealt with editing, at which she was getting better and better. Nowadays she makes reports from events related to the campaign – from recording to editing. She increasingly often acts as a journalist too. However, these activities are not the only ones. Gabrysia also coordinates and controls the process of video production.
As a board member of IgnaśTV, she takes active part in decisions concerning the whole TV and the campaign.
Even though she is a middle school grade 3 student at the CXXII High School of Ignacy Domeyko, she effectively compromises studying with her voluntary work at the school televison.
Her spectrum of interests is astonishingly broad. Many of them can be pursued in IgnaśTV through learning about the geography and the history of Poland. Moreover, she can advance her video producing skills. Due to all this, she gets involved in work for IgnaśTV with her whole heart and always brings a smile to there.
Monika, also known as (De)moniczka, has been involved in the project since the very beginning. She started as a correspondent and hence interviewing, talking to a guest or work with the microphone is no scary thing for her. A moment later, a photo camera also became equally important equipment for her. Since then, it wasn’t an option not to take pictures either from our travels, meetings, workshops or movie sets. Therefore a lot of photo and video material to choose from was produced. Mysteriously, we couldn’t find any to place by this text.
The crew wouldn’t manage travelling with public transport only… that’s why Monika sometimes swaps the microphone and camera with a car in order to safely bring us to a destination.
In her free time Monica studies Culture of Latin America and the Caribbean at the University of Warsaw. She admires travelling, both the closer and the further ones. Furthermore, she loves books, however she hasn’t managed to read very much recently. She’s interested in photography and freshly also film editing. She also likes biking and hiking. Well, she does have some weaknesses – she falls for British and American TV series.
